Well I can't draw yet, but I can color! There were two comics I drew up back In college but never got around to coloring, so I'm working on them for this batch. This one is about Fable, but mostly how I hate that thing where dudes pop the color on thier pink polo shirts. Usually stuff like that never bugs me but there are some guys at my college who wear these shirts depicting General Grant and Lee in the same outfit which instills massive rage in me. I can't do much right now, so I'm surfing the comics of the genesis more than usual when I can't color. I'll list the ones I jump to via the homepage pogs. All random clicking yarr. Oh and just a warning, it REALLY hurts to sit right now, so I'll be a bit distracted while I type. Expect some bad spelling. The first one I hit was Logo. Logo tells the tale. of a family of artists, one of whom is suffering from amnesia from a terrible past. This comic is done in manga style, and as someone who has not clue as to how to even begin that style, it shall always impress me (don't know why? Then read some Dewey my friends). Its a nice comic, but my only criticsm would have to be that it moves way to fast, and as a result the characters suffer from allot of direct characterization which can make them seem two dimensional. However, the main charcter's secret is in the background of the usual plot allowing him to be developed at a slower rate and more ellaborataly. Oh, and almost everyone in it is an orphan but you know whatever. Anyway, it moves REALLY fast, which is a problem, but the conclusion to a chapter usualy yeilds a satisfying development to a character that doesn't suffer the fast paced development that the others get, which works in the end. So its a nice comic. Check it out, I may link it in the next Link update. The other one I visited was First Kingdom. Another Manga style comic, and BOY does it look good. Its the kind of good that makes you want to give the artist a Pizza...trophey... and Trophey with a Pizza in it. Its just wow. Its older than my Deep Dive but newish none the less. It seems to have started five months ago, so theres not much story yet but enough to keep your interest. Warriors, a country in turmoil, Orcs. Good shit. Good Shit. I shall link this one methinks. Right, so now I don't feel so good, so I'ma gonna nap off the pain killers. Comic on sunday with two other comic reveiws. --SergeXIII |
